God knows why? But from this New Year I feel like cleaning something or the other. You must have noticed from my posts that I have laid more stress on cleaning. I just stared at my Conservatory and made up my mind to clean it from head to toe. After this decision, I decided to share it with my blog-mates too. Today it’s turn for the blinds. Windows are often the most ignored part when it comes to cleaning. Because it involved many small spaces and bars which makes it complicated to clean.
Let me help you with it. Below I have mentioned few tips that will ease this task a bit and help you in cleaning conservatory blinds easily.
- Cleaning is something that we should do once in a week, not only when we have some guests coming up. Regular cleaning will lessen half of your burden. You will have lesser dust, hence lesser efforts. Cleaning pleated or wooden blinds requires few techniques because simply wiping them off will not remove the dust clogged in the corners. So look at the store for some smart mops and dusting clothes to get it done right and fast.
- If you are lucky enough to have a vacuum cleaner at your home, then cleaning conservatory blinds will be as easy as a wink. It is the easiest method of cleaning blinds possible. All you need is proper heads. These heads normally come as an attachment with the product. For cleaning blinds you would need a small head that has brushes at the beginning. You need to gently rub the blind surface and put the vacuum on. The brush will peel off the clogged dust and vacuum will suck it in. Thus you can do a thorough cleaning of blinds using a vacuum cleaner.
- But if you are a lazy soul like me and cannot do regular cleaning, there is still an option for you. In longer durations, the dust particles adhere to the blinds tightly and will not come out even with the vacuum. In such cases, you will have to use a tough hand with wet cloth to rub off the dust. Some home cleaning chemicals can do wonders with the wet cloth. Dip the piece of cloth into the solution, and rub the target spot. You will see the dust coming off. This may require some efforts but it is worth it. Your blinds will come off clean.
- In worst cases, if wet cloth also becomes helpless then you have one last sure shot option. Just remove the blinds and let them have a shower. They will do it themselves but you can surely make them do it. Fill your bath tub with lukewarm water and some cleansing liquid. Make some lather and then dip the dirty blinds inside. Leave them for half an hour and you will be amazed to see that the dirt will come out easily.
